  Friday, Dec. 24 & Saturday, Dec. 25

We reopen on Monday, December 27.

Donate to the Snuggly Tree

The Mays Landing Branch of the Atantic County Library System is accepting donations:

• Hats
• Scarves
• Gloves
• Socks
• Etc. 

Donations to the Snuggly Tree go to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission.

Folsom Backpack Distribution

Folsom Elementary School's first graders received backpacks December 13, 2010 as part of the yearly Atlantic County Library Foundation Backpack Distribution Project.

"First Grade . . . First steps start at the library" backpack distribution program introduces first graders to the wonders that can be found at their local library. This program encourages children to begin a tradition of lifelong learning at the library.

All the kids received a book in their backpack, The Flying Horse, the myth of the Pegathus retold for young readers. Along with the book the children received some little toys and stickers based around the theme. The Hammonton Branch of the Atlantic County Library System has a large sculpture of a pegasus in their branch. This sculpture created the theme for the local schools receiving the backpacks.
